Water has no substitute, without it the whole world would pretty much fall apart. The technology today is helping ] places that lack clean water acquire some. But while it helps one place it is also a major contribution to pollution.
Water Scarcity has consequences ranging from Economic to Social and Environmental aspects. Economic Both small and major businesses need water, so when there isn't enough sufficient water it not only effects the production line but the money coming in. It can also affect the health of any customers or staff. Social As the worlds pollution is increasing the strain on water resources are leading to withdrawal of food, energy and reproduction. In third world countries fights can sometimes break out over what little water there is. People go crazy with thirst and will do whatever they can to acquire it. Environmental People are being affected not only by the insufficient amount of water but the quality. Businesses and cities are willing to do whatever they can to attract buyers and tourists. Therefore they have very little consideration for the environment and water and sometimes risk their own and others health. There are health concerns connected with water scarcity as there is a limited supply of healthy water and polluted water it is the most common cause of death and illness. With the lack of water, developing countries, like Africa, are forced to drink unhygienic water. |
